Yes, friends, I have completed the final novel in my 'Safe In His Arms' romance series, "Look Behind You" and it has been sent off for publishing! Its actual release date is August 31, 2015, so I still have a bit more than a week to wait (impatiently!) before it hits the shelves without a "Pre-Order" option attached to it.
Of course, readers who want to 'buy and forget' can purchase it now, as a pre-order. The way this works, for those of you who've never gone that route, is the customer pays in full for the book and, on the release date -- in this case August 31 -- the novel is automatically placed in your online Kindle Library by Amazon! How simple is that! I know it can feel a little strange doing this because you're basically buying on faith, trusting that the author will actually put out the book by the promised date.
Well, let me tell you that there is nothing risky about pre-ordering, and here is why: Should I, the author, miss my deadline date for submitting the final version of my novel, i.e. August 31, I am the one who loses. The customer's money is immediately refunded in full by Amazon, and I lose my privileges as it pertains to pre-order sales. Basically, Amazon puts a lot of trust in its authors and they, Amazon, look bad when the customer does not receive what they have been promised.
All this to say that I personally recommend the pre-order feature simply because if you see a book you would like to buy but which won't be available for, let's say, two more weeks, and you are worried you may not remember to go back and buy it, this is the way to go. Buy and forget!
As a side note, watch for the paperback version of Book 3, "Look Behind You," which will be coming out in one week! In this case, the paperback version will be released before the Kindle (digital) version. And if you've not yet read the first two books in the series, "You're Still Mine" and "You're Not His," then hurry and catch up before Book 3 comes out on August 31!
