Merry Christmas!

Dear readers,

Christmas being only three days away, I wanted to take this opportunity to wish every single one of you the very best of the holidays.  It is a very special, magical time of year, and I hope all your dreams come true!

I will be spending time with my husband's family (we are hosting dinner this year!), and will get to spend quality time with our daughter and two granddaughters.  As far as I'm concerned, there is nothing more beautiful than to look into a child's face at Christmas.

I am including pictures of my girls at last year's Christmas dinner.

This is Aidan, the oldest:

And Cerys, our baby (with grandpa):

Hugs and kisses to your family from ours!

What is a Canadian?

Hello friends,

Today, I am re-posting an article which a former co-worker of mine posted on Facebook. When I read it, I was truly moved and wanted to share it with you.  The article reminds me how proud I am to be Canadian!

Lise

Once in a while someone does a nice job of describing a Canadian, this time it was an Australian dentist.

An Australian definition of a Canadian - in case anyone asks you who a Canadian is.

You probably missed it in the local news, but there was a report that someone in Pakistan had advertised in a

Rain in Lanark...

Hello fellow readers,

It's a wet day in Lanark, Ontario today.  Actually, it's really a carbon copy of yesterday.  On a positive note, the weather forecast had called for freezing rain for yesterday, but we managed to
