Welcome to my blog!  I am hoping this will become a place where anyone who loves to read, or write books, or just has an opinion, will stop by to share, learn and hopefully enjoy a laugh once in a while! 


My name is Lise Guilbault.  I am a 59-year-old wife, mother and grandmother who, since retiring in 2010, has written three novels.  My genre of choice, as an author, is romantic suspense thrillers. 


My very first novel was "Incomplete Delusion."  I'm proud of this one for a couple of reasons.  Of course, being my first, my 'baby,' it means that much more to me, but also, the cover was designed by my talented, artistic daughter, Nathalie.  The story revolves
around a woman who decides to restart her life in a new location, but finds herself harassed by an unknown predator determined to take her to her knees.


My second novel is the first in the  'Safe in His Arms' series, and is titled "You're Still Mine."  This story deals with the sensitive issue of domestic violence.  I was told recently, by one of my readers, that the story reminded her of her first marriage, and she found it to be very real for her.  My hope is that those who have never experienced such trauma, after reading my book, might better understand the pain endured by those who have.


My third novel, second in the 'Safe...' series, is "You're Not His."  It is a novel rife with action, drama and, of course, love.  A woman inherits the home of a grandfather she never knew existed, moves into his house, only to find herself in grave danger.  She soon learns that sometimes, what we know to be true is nowhere near fact. 


I am currently working on the third novel in the 'Safe' series.  A tentative title is "Look Behind You," and this one is actually scaring me silly, and I'm the one writing it!  When I asked my husband to read the Prologue, he asked me how I could possibly expect his mom to read something so scary.  My advice:  Tell her to leave the lights on!
