Hello friends,
I confess that today I absolutely did not work on "A KINDNESS RETURNED." Guilty as charged! I did, however, spend a lovely after/evening with my husband and mother-in-law at an open-house BBQ which was held in her apartment complex. She only recently moved there and asked if we would attend with her.
Of course, as we age, so do our parents. Strangely, it felt almost as though we were taking her to a school activity so that she could meet new friends. (She moved in just three months ago.) Life really does come full circle.
We're not worried, though. She's a lovely lady who will surely meet new people in no time at all, without anyone's help, I might add.
Tomorrow, we are attending a retirement BBQ nearby. We live in the country, and always welcome an opportunity to attend an outing outside the city. This week, the leaves started to turn, and the fall colours are lovely. What move could we ask for?
Sunday, I promise to get back to my novel! Hopefully, the weather will cooperate and I'll be able to work outside, sitting in my zero-gravity swing, under my favourite maple tree.
