Exciting new novel...

Hello, friends!

I would like to share with you my current project.  After releasing "Look Behind You," I had committed to working in my garden, doing some catch-up canning and maybe reading a book or two (someone else's!).  But I am now convinced that writing is addictive and that I have fallen prey to the writing bug.

Of course, I did not put aside all my planned projects.  I worked in the garden (a bit...), canned some pickles, made blueberry jam and marinara sauce, then ran back to my office to start work on my next novel!

Marc, being the best husband in the world, makes my breakfast and lunch when I forget (which is on most days!), does the dishes, not to mention the myriad other things he does to keep this house
afloat.  And yet, he always encourages me to write.  Having been married to each other for 37 years, he knows how long I waited before letting loose the inner writer I had kept prisoner for way too long.

Some of you may be surprised to learn that I wrote and published my first novel early this year, at the age of 59.  Yep!  I was convinced if I told anyone about my secret passion, I would be laughed at and told to 'get real.'  Not so.  I was pleasantly surprised to learn that both my family and friends stood by me and encouraged me at every turn.  Including buying my books!

But I digress...

My current project is exciting and differs somewhat from my usual style.  The storyline revolves around a kind deed that is eventually returned, many years later.  A young, college-age girl comes upon a serious car accident in the middle of nowhere, and lends assistance to a young man who is gravelly injured.  The young man and his family are very appreciative, and he elicits a promise from her that should she ever need help, she must come to him.  Not giving it another thought, the young lady wishes him well and walks out of the hospital and his life.

Now, friends, I'm sorry, but that's all I can tell you at this time.  I would not want to give away the best parts, now would I?  You'll have to buy the book to find out what happens next!  I can, however, tell you what the book's title will be:  "A Kindness Returned," and will be a romantic suspense thriller.

I do promise to keep you posted on the book's progress.  Hopefully, you will check in often to read a post, or just to say hi!

I wish you all a wonderful long weekend, and read a book!
