Dear readers,
On this sunny, but very cold, Canadian winter day, I've been working on my current novel, most likely to be titled "A Kindness Returned." The one thing I never have a difficult time with is the cover, but in this case it's been a nightmare.
I mean if your book deals with love, your cover could portray lovers kissing, or a man and woman posed in a sexually suggestive scene. But how do you portray kindness?
At first, I considered a picture of two hands, one reaching out to the other. Then I scratched that.
What I am now leaning towards is a couple, the woman seemingly in emotional distress, a man's arms wrapped protectively around her. That might work, don't you think?
Have you written - or are you in the process of writing - a novel? What parts do you struggle with? The title? The acknowledgements? The cover?
Come on people, share!
Keep warm (if you're in a cold-climate country, that is!).
Lise
