Hello friends,
No, it doesn't happen often, but today, on this rainy Tuesday here in Lanark, Ontario Canada, I am extremely frustrated!
For some inexplicable reason, the paperback version of my latest novel, "Look Behind You," continues to show up as 'Temporarily Out Of Stock' on the Canadian Amazon site. As a Canadian
author, most of my readers are Canadian, so it follows they are waiting patiently to order this novel (in paperback). The digital version is available on Amazon in Canada, by the way.
The strange thing is the paperback version of this novel is in fact available everywhere else in the world, except Canada! Is that ironic, or what?
I've tried writing to CreateSpace (my paperback printing company, located in the U.S.!) but they claim they do not distribute to Canada, that only Expanded Distribution vendors do so. You may wonder what the heck that is. Well, if you've ever visited Amazon to purchase a book, you will have noticed the following located just below Amazon's listed price:
"More buying choices" means Expanded Distribution. These are vendors from around the globe who purchase your paperback from Amazon and sell it themselves, usually for less than what Amazon is asking for it. (They probably get a cut rate for large orders.) These sites are reportedly reputable, but are not under Amazon's control.

My problem is that ED's connection (or lack of connection) to Amazon prevents me from accessing them in any way! So in the meantime, I am forced to sit on my hands and wait for someone to change my novel's designation to AVAILABLE on the Amazon.ca site! Is that too much to ask?
I hope, dear readers, you will forgive this rant, but I felt the need to share it with you. Of course, my novel is available in digital format, if you wish to purchase it here in Canada. Hopefully, it will soon be available in paperback as well! If you are anywhere else in the world, it is available in digital and paperback versions, as are all my novels.
Lise
